Western Railway Announces Major Block at Goregaon Station for 6th Line Work on 2nd and 3rd October, 2024

Western Railway has announced a major block at Goregaon station during the intervening night of 2nd and 3rd October 2024, as part of the ongoing work for the 6th line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations. The block will affect train services for a duration of 4 hours on both UP and DOWN slow lines from 00:30 hrs to 04:30 hrs, while a shorter block of 1.5 hours will be in effect on all lines between 02:00 hrs and 03:30 hrs.

According to Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during this block, all slow line local trains will operate on the fast line between Borivali and Andheri. Due to platform unavailability, these trains will skip halts at Ram Mandir station. In addition, a few Mail/Express trains are expected to be delayed by 10 to 20 minutes.

Several suburban trains will either be cancelled or short-terminated during the block. Commuters are advised to check with their respective Station Masters for detailed information.

Western Railway has released the following key train schedule updates:

  1. Train No. 19038 Barauni – Bandra Terminus Avadh Express will be regulated by 30 minutes at Borivali.

  2. Train No. 20942 Ghazipur City – Bandra Terminus SF Express will be regulated by 20 minutes in the Virar-Borivali section.

  3. Train No. 90001 Bandra – Borivali local (3rd October, 2024, departure at 04:05 hrs) will run only up to Goregaon, with the segment between Goregaon and Borivali cancelled. The train will then operate as an extra local to Churchgate (slow) departing from Goregaon at 04:40 hrs.

  4. Train No. 92003 Andheri – Virar local (3rd October, 2024, departure at 04:25 hrs) will be delayed by 5 minutes and run on the fast line between Andheri and Borivali.

  5. Train No. 94004 Borivali – Churchgate AC slow local (3rd October, 2024, departure at 04:32 hrs) will operate on the fast line between Andheri, Bandra, Dadar, and Mumbai Central.

  6. Train No. 92067 Churchgate – Borivali local (3rd October, 2024, departure at 09:19 hrs) will run up to Nallasopara and will operate on the fast line between Churchgate, Mumbai Central, Dadar, Bandra, Andheri, and Borivali.

  7. Train No. 90560 Virar – Bandra slow local (3rd October, 2024, departure at 14:14 hrs) will run up to Churchgate in slow mode.

  8. Train No. 90648 Nallasopara – Bandra slow local (3rd October, 2024, departure at 16:08 hrs) will also run up to Churchgate in slow mode.



Passengers are requested to plan their journeys accordingly and check for updates before traveling during this period.
