Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Shri Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi, has launched a pilot program to transform 60 Fair Price Shops (FPS) into Jan Poshan Kendras, aiming to boost income for FPS dealers and offer nutrition-rich food to consumers. Alongside this initiative, the FPS Sahay application, Mera Ration app 2.0, Quality Management System, Quality Manual Handbook, Contract Manual for the Food Corporation of India (FCI), and NABL Accreditation of three laboratories were also launched. These programs are designed to enhance food security, improve quality control, and advance digitalization efforts within the Public Distribution System.
