No matter how much talent an artist has, it is important to get an opportunity. This government is providing opportunities to artists as well as honouring them, said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde here today.
He was speaking on the occasion of 'National Photo Exhibition and Prize Distribution' function organized jointly by Thane Municipal Corporation and Thane Daily Journalists Association.Sandeep Malvi, former Mayor Naresh Mhaske, President of Thane Daily Journalists Association Anant Kamble, Secretary Nilesh Panmand, Treasurer Vaibhav Virwatkar, Manoj Singh and Cooperative office bearers, award winning photographers and citizens were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Mr. Shinde extended his best wishes to all the photographers and journalists present on the World Photographers' Day. Photography is certainly not an easy art. It requires a different vision and a lot of hard work. The government will certainly do justice to their hard work.The Chief Minister also congratulated the photographers from other states who participated in this competition and won awards and also Thane Daily Journalist Association for organizing this kind of competition every year.Stating that the state of Maharashtra is an inclusive state, he added that modernity to traditional things is the need of the hour. This government is building infrastructure projects on a large scale. Priority is being given to Development. But while doing all this, proper care is being taken to ensure that the environment does not deteriorate. Thane city is also undergoing a complete transformation. He expressed his belief that in the near future we will all see a clean, beautiful, developed Thane city and district.On this occasion, the winning photographers of this national level photography competition were felicitated at the hands of the Chief Minister. Deepak Joshi and Sameer Markandey, as well as Thanekar journalists Sanjay Pitale, Vinod Jagdale, Dr. Dilip Sapate, Jayesh Samant and Vaibhav Virwatkar, who were selected for the State and Divisional Accreditation Committee, were given special honours. The programme was hosted by Rajendra Patankar.
