RPF Takes Action Against Five for Trespassing Railway Tracks to Film Social Media Reel


Bhayandar, December 6, 2024 – The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Western Railway has taken strong action against five individuals who trespassed onto railway tracks to make videos for social media. The incident was spotted at Bhayandar station, where the group filmed a reel while putting their lives at risk.



According to a press release from Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the RPF team received information from the Security Control Room at Mumbai Central about the incident. A team led by Shri Rohtas Singh, SIPF/Bhayander, worked with the local police to investigate. They quickly identified and arrested the five individuals.

The accused confessed to entering the station to create promotional reels for their products. They were charged under Sections 147 and 145(B) of the Railway Act, and were given notices under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). After being questioned, they were released and have been asked to appear in court for further legal action.



In an apology video shared on social media, the individuals expressed regret for their actions and promised not to repeat their mistakes. They also urged others not to make videos or take selfies near railway tracks.

Western Railway reminds the public that making videos or stunts on railway tracks is not only dangerous but also illegal. The railway authorities are committed to ensuring the safety of passengers and property, and urge everyone to follow safety rules.
