RENUMBERING OF PLATFORM NUMBERS OF DADAR STATION WITH EFFECT FROM December

PLATFORM NUMBERS WILL HAVE NEW NUMBERES FROM 8 TO 14 ALIGNING WITH WESTERN RAILWAY

To ease confusion among commuters while interchanging trains at Dadar Railway Station, Railways have decided to implement sequential numbering of platforms on the Central Railway and Western Railway sections of the Dadar Railway station.

Dadar station has a total 15 platforms – Eight Platforms on the Central Railway section including the terminal platforms for long-distance trains which originate and terminate from Dadar station and seven on the Western Railway section.

In order to avoid any confusion amongst Passengers because of duplication in numbering of platforms at Dadar Railway station on Central Railway and Western Railway. The platform numbers 1 to 7 will remain the same on Western, but platform numbers 1 to 8 on Central Railway will be renumbered as 8 to 14 and present Platform no. 2 is surrendered inorder to expand the width of present Central Railway Platform no. 1/renumbered Platform no. 8 .

These change in the Platform numbers will be implemented with effect from 9 December 23

Therefore, the renumbered Suburban platform no. 1 will become 8, platform 2 surrendered for width expansion, Platform no. 3 will become 9, Platform no. 4 will become 10, Platform no. 5 will become 11, Platform no. 6 will become 12 and present Dadar Terminus Platform no. 7 will become 13 and Platform no. 8 will become 14.

Passengers are kindly note these changes. These changes will be implemented from 9th December 2023 to dispel any confusion amongst passengers.
