Mumbai, India – Ratan Tata, the beloved industrialist and former chairman of Tata Sons, has passed away at the age of 86. Known for his leadership and kindness, he played a huge role in shaping India's business world.



Ratan Tata led the Tata Group, one of India's biggest companies, for over 20 years. During his time as chairman, he helped the company grow globally, buying famous brands like Jaguar Land Rover and Corus Steel. His decisions helped make Indian businesses known around the world.



Born in 1937 in Mumbai, he studied at Cornell University and Harvard Business School before joining the Tata Group in 1962. He became the chairman of Tata Sons in 1991 and led the company until he retired in 2012. Even after retirement, he continued to support and guide the company.



Beyond business, Ratan Tata was known for his generosity. He donated to causes like healthcare, education, and rural development, improving the lives of many people in India through the Tata Trusts.



As news of his passing spread, many people expressed their sadness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called him "a great man who changed the future of Indian industry."
