Rahul Gandhi Questions EAM Jaishankar on Bangladesh Crisis at All-Party Meet

New Delhi: During an all-party meeting on the escalating crisis in Bangladesh, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi posed three key questions to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Gandhi inquired about the government's short-term and long-term strategies to handle the diplomatic fallout from the political upheaval in Dhaka, and expressed concerns about possible foreign involvement, particularly from Pakistan.

Jaishankar responded that the situation is evolving and the government is closely monitoring events to adjust its strategies accordingly. The Centre is investigating the potential role of Pakistan, noting a Pakistani diplomat's suspicious social media activity. Jaishankar assured that India is vigilant and actively assessing the developments.

In a display of unity, Congress and other opposition parties extended their full support to the Modi government's approach to the crisis.
