Priest Attacked in Shocking Road Rage Incident in Kandivali; Two Arrested


Mumbai, August 19, 2024 – In a shocking road rage incident in Mumbai's Kandivali area, a 34-year-old priest was brutally attacked and injured on Saturday night. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the assault, with the police actively searching for two more suspects involved in the altercation.

The incident occurred in the Laljipada locality when one of the accused, Pratham Digamber Khillare, 22, collided his motorcycle with the priest's two-wheeler, leading to a heated argument. What started as a minor dispute escalated quickly when Khillare called his friends to the scene. The group then assaulted the priest and his brother-in-law, with Khillare reportedly stabbing the priest with a knife.

Despite initially refusing to file a complaint, the victim was forced to take action after a video of the vicious attack surfaced on social media, drawing widespread attention and outrage. The police swiftly arrested Khillare and his accomplice, Chotu Maniyar, and have vowed to bring the remaining culprits to justice.

The incident has sparked a public outcry, with many condemning the rising instances of road rage and violence in the city. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and report any information that could lead to the apprehension of the remaining suspects.
