Western Railway has announced that there will be no day block scheduled on its suburban section for Sunday, April 28, 2024. This decision comes as part of the railway's efforts to minimize disruptions to passenger services.
Instead, a night block is planned on the Diva lines at Vasai Road Yard to facilitate maintenance work. The major Jumbo Block, spanning three hours, will occur on the intervening night of April 27th and 28th, 2024. It will affect both the UP and DOWN Diva lines from 00.15 hrs to 03.15 hrs.
This maintenance work includes track maintenance, signalling upgrades, and overhead equipment checks, aimed at ensuring the safety and efficiency of railway operations.
Western Railway advises passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and stay informed about any updates regarding the scheduled maintenance work.
