Nawazuddin Siddiqui Expresses Interest in Portraying Spiritual Guru Osho in Future Roles


'Rautu ki Beli' Premieres at 54th International Film Festival of India

Goa: The 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa witnessed the grand premiere of "Rautu ki Beli," a Hindi film directed by Anand Surapur. This gripping narrative unfolds in the serene town of Rautu ki Beli, delving into an investigative journey led by Inspector Negi following the mysterious demise of a school warden.

In a press conference organized by PIB, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the lead actor of "Rautu ki Beli," emphasized the global recognition for films depicting authentic local tales. Siddiqui highlighted the significance of embracing diversity in characters and expressed his immersive approach to character portrayal, aiming for a seamless fusion of his life with that of the character.

When asked about future roles, Siddiqui revealed his desire to essay the character of spiritual guru Osho if the opportunity arises, expressing his openness to diverse and challenging roles.

Director Anand Surapur shared his filmmaking inspiration, attributing it to a fervent passion for storytelling and the pursuit of unique ideas. Shariq Patel, CEO of Zee Studios and screenplay writer for "Rautu ki Beli," hailed the film as a genre-breaker, offering a distinctive treatment of characters within a compelling murder mystery.

Patel revealed that the eagerly awaited film is slated for release on Zee 5 in the early months of 2024, promising audiences an immersive cinematic experience.
