Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has promised a strong "tooth-breaking" response to Israel’s recent military actions. This warning comes after Israel's October 26 airstrikes on Iranian military sites, which reportedly killed four Iranian soldiers and damaged missile and air defense systems. The airstrikes were in response to an earlier missile attack by Iran on October 1.
In reaction to the escalating conflict, the US has deployed B-52 bombers to the region to support Israel and discourage further action from Iran. This move comes just before the US presidential election, adding to the tension.
Kamal Kharrazi, a senior advisor to Khamenei, hinted that Iran could change its nuclear policy if it feels threatened. He stated, "If an existential threat arises, Iran will modify its nuclear doctrine. We have the capability to build weapons."
Meanwhile, Lebanon has condemned an Israeli commando raid on its territory, with Prime Minister Najib Mikati ordering a complaint to be filed with the United Nations. Lebanese authorities and UN peacekeepers are investigating the incident.
The situation has raised fears of a larger conflict in the region, with international attention focused on what might happen next.
