New Delhi, Jan 13, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the signing of the Hajj Agreement 2025 between India and Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed by Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Hajj and Umrah, H.E. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, and Indian officials.
PM Modi shared his happiness on X, saying, "I welcome this agreement, which is wonderful news for Hajj pilgrims from India. Our Government is committed to ensuring improved pilgrimage experiences for devotees."
The agreement aims to provide better arrangements for Indian pilgrims traveling to Mecca and Medina for the Hajj. It will help improve travel, accommodation, and other facilities, making the pilgrimage smoother and more comfortable.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also praised the agreement, calling it a big step in strengthening ties between India and Saudi Arabia while ensuring better services for Indian devotees.
Every year, thousands of Indian Muslims travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj. This new agreement promises to make their journey more convenient and fulfilling.
