Eknath Shinde May Make Big Announcement: Shiv Sena

MUMBAI: Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has sparked speculation after visiting his native village Dare in Satara. This visit comes a day after his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. The Shiv Sena has hinted at a major announcement from Shinde soon.

“Whenever Eknath Shinde has to make an important decision, he goes to Dare. It’s his favorite place,” said Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Shirsat on Saturday.

Shinde, citing tiredness and throat pain, avoided speaking to reporters on Friday after reaching Dare. “I will speak to you later,” he told them.

According to Shirsat, Shinde has assured that he will not create any hurdles in forming the government. “He has told Amit Shah to make the decision, and he will accept it,” Shirsat said.

The final decision on the Chief Minister’s post now rests with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, Shirsat added. However, there is no clarity on why the announcement has been delayed or whether discussions on cabinet posts have taken place.

Shinde’s frequent visits to Dare during crucial moments have heightened curiosity about what lies ahead. All eyes are now on Maharashtra's next political move.
