Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, highlighted the critical role of young Indians in achieving the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047. Speaking at the Viksit Bharat Ambassador - Yuva Connect event at Kamala Nehru College, Delhi, Dr. Mandaviya encouraged students to embrace hard work and innovation for both personal growth and national progress.
Dr. Mandaviya announced plans for the upcoming Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue - National Youth Festival 2025. The event will feature 3,000 selected youth who will present their ideas directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. The festival will also host youth icons from India and abroad to inspire and motivate participants.
“This festival isn’t just an event—it’s a platform to empower youth to shape India’s future,” said Dr. Mandaviya, emphasizing the importance of giving young leaders opportunities to connect with mentors and role models.
The minister introduced plans to expand the MY Bharat platform into a one-stop hub for young Indians. It will provide access to resources, mentorship, and tools for professional and personal development. He urged students to participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz Challenge, now live on the platform, which offers an opportunity to present ideas for nation-building.
Dr. Mandaviya underlined the importance of aligning youth aspirations with the vision of Viksit Bharat. “No task is too small,” he said, encouraging students to approach every opportunity with dedication. He also stressed the need to honor India’s traditions as a foundation for growth, adding that global interest in Indian heritage is growing rapidly.
The event featured Commonwealth Games medalist and Arjuna Awardee Pinki Singh, who inspired students with her journey in lawn bowling. A tree plantation drive under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative further reinforced the message of sustainability.
On the occasion of Constitution Day, students, faculty, and the minister collectively read the Preamble, reaffirming the nation’s democratic values.
The session ended with an interactive dialogue (Yuva Samvad), where students asked questions about India’s growth and their role in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat.
