The much-anticipated trailer for "Devara: Part 1", directed by Koratala Siva, has been released, and it promises a high-octane action drama. Starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, the trailer hints at an epic story full of suspense, action, and powerful performances.
Running for 159 seconds, the trailer introduces audiences to a feared gang led by Saif Ali Khan's character. A foreboding voiceover sets the tone: “There was no caste; no religion. Fear was something they never knew.” This line foreshadows the inevitable clash with Devara, played by Jr NTR. The story takes place in a world where courage is tested, and as Saif’s character ominously remarks, “Eyes that knew nothing but courage, for the first time ever, were filled with fear.”
One of the biggest revelations in the trailer is the dual role of Jr NTR, who portrays both Devara and his son. While Devara is depicted as a fearless leader, his son is introduced as a “harmless” character. Janhvi Kapoor, making her South Indian cinema debut, states in the trailer, “He only got his dad’s looks, not his courage.” However, the teaser later suggests that Devara's son will rise to face challenges that once intimidated him.
The trailer is packed with dramatic visuals, intense fight scenes, and striking cinematography by Rathnavelu ISC. Complemented by Anirudh Ravichander's music, the atmosphere is primed for a true mass masala entertainer.
"Devara: Part 1" has already generated immense buzz, especially since it's Janhvi Kapoor’s first South Indian film, a realm where her mother, Sridevi, was a legendary figure. The film's release has been highly awaited since its announcement in April 2021. With three songs — the powerful “Fear Song,” the romantic “Chuttamalle,” and the adrenaline-pumping “Daavudi” — already released, excitement has only grown.
