"Deputy CM Ajit Pawar launches Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: IEC Vans to tour Maharashtra cities."


In a momentous launch, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has expanded its reach, unfurling across urban landscapes within Maharashtra's municipal corporation zones. The Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign, having garnered significant traction in rural and tribal areas earlier, commenced its urban leg, showcasing its potential impact.

Mumbai - Mantralaya's Flag-Off: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar initiated the campaign by flagging off an IEC van from Mumbai's Mantralaya. Present were notable figures including Mumbai District’s Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar and BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal. With four vans stationed across 227 locations, the campaign aims to directly connect eligible beneficiaries with various government schemes like Ayushmann Health Card, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM SVANidhi, UIDAI Card, and more.

Thane's Vibrant Inauguration: Thane witnessed a vibrant inauguration led by Thane Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar, attended by MLA Niranjan Davkhare and former mayor Naresh Maske. Citizens eagerly engaged with stalls set up to disseminate information about PMEGP, PM-AMRUT, PM-Awas, PMJAY, Swachh Bharat, and Aadhaar Card Registration.

Solapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Beyond: Solapur's inauguration, graced by Municipal Commissioner Sheetal Teli Ugle, emphasized the campaign's commitment to spreading awareness. Similarly, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar witnessed an inspiring launch at Siddharth Udyan, headed by Commissioner Shri G. Shrikant, focused on reaching underprivileged sections with government schemes.

Nagpur's Stirring Kick-Off: Nagpur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhary inaugurated the campaign at Dharampeth Zone, marking the commencement of the IEC Vans' movement throughout Nagpur to raise awareness about welfare schemes.

Diverse Launches Across Municipalities: From Kasba Ganpati to Vasai-Virar and Nashik, municipal authorities and dignitaries spearheaded launches, each emphasizing the critical role of these vans in bringing government schemes to the citizens' doorstep. Camps catering to various schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Ujjwala Yojana, and Aadhaar card registration were set up, facilitating immediate registrations for eligible beneficiaries.

The campaign's wide-ranging impact across Maharashtra's urban landscape heralds a concerted effort to bridge the gap between government welfare schemes and the citizens, underscoring a step towards a more informed and empowered society.
