THE DIVISION OF MUMBAI
On Swachh Samwad and Swachh Stations days, Day-2, Day-3, and Day-4, extensive cleaning work was performed at all major and other stations of the Mumbai division manually and utilising machinery. Station directors, station managers, station masters, and chief health inspectors oversee the complete cleaning of CSMT, Dadar, LTT, Thane, Kalyan, Panvel, and Lonavala stations, among others. Track cleaning, de-vegetation along the track, and rag picking were performed in addition to drainage cleaning, gutter cleaning, and obstruction clearance due to mud, plastic, and other debris. FOBs, stairwells, concourses, and parking lots were all cleaned. Announcements were made over the PA system concerning the separation of dry and wet garbage, zero waste on the platform, the collection of plastic waste, and the prohibition on single-use plastic. Passengers and train employees were warned about the significance of hygiene.
Staff at Matunga Workshop were counselled on the significance of keeping the work premises clean. Posters and bulletin boards were erected to teach employees about the importance of cleanliness. Toilets and drainages were cleaned, desks, machines, fans, and other office equipment were cleaned, separate dustbins for dry and wet garbage were installed at different places, and personnel were counselled on the negative impacts of plastic use.
THE DIVISION OF BHUSAVAL
A station cleanliness inspection was performed. Intensive cleanliness campaigns were carried out at key stations, ensuring the availability and operation of cleaning machinery and tools, the provision of protective clothing for cleaning employees, the installation of separate dustbins at stations for dry and wet trash, and so on. Railway personnel spoke with travellers about station cleanliness and solicited their comments. ZRTI trainees organised a nukkad play on the issue of clean stations at Bhusaval railway station in the presence of senior authorities.
NAGPUR DISTRICT
Cleaning employees were counselled about the need to use safety equipment and maintain personal hygiene when cleaning at all stations. The public was shown how to operate plastic bottle crusher equipment properly. Track cleaning was accomplished with the right use of technology and high-pressure water jets. Cleaning of fans, wires, and other station equipment was assured. Seminars and counselling sessions were held to raise awareness about the necessity of sanitation and the care of railway stations, as well as the importance of keeping coaches and retiring rooms in good condition. DIVISION OF PUNE
The stations have been thoroughly cleaned. Staff and passengers were advised to use proper cleaning methods and separate trash cans for wet and dry garbage.
To raise cleanliness awareness among railway workers and the general public, anti-littering posters were put at all railway public interfaces. The Swachhata Rally was held at the Pune station in the presence of senior officers.
THE DIVISION OF SOLAPUR
The station's buildings, restrooms, drains, and tracks were all cleaned. Stations were equipped with separate dustbins for the collection of wet and dry garbage. Cleanliness awareness was conveyed through passenger interaction, slogans and placards, and announcements over the PA system. To propagate the idea of cleanliness, Nukkad Natak was also performed at stations.
