Congress Gains Another Blow to BJP as Leader Rajabhau Patkar Joins with Hundreds of Workers

Rajabhau Patkar, the General Secretary and Communication Head of BJP Kalyan, has joined the Congress party along with hundreds of his supporters. This development took place on Sunday at Tilak Bhavan, with Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole and All India Congress Committee Secretary Sanjay Dutt welcoming the new members into the Congress fold.

While addressing the gathering, Nana Patole expressed his delight at Rajabhau Patkar and his supporters joining Congress, emphasizing the need to spread Congress ideals in every household in Kalyan. Patole took this opportunity to criticize the BJP, stating, "In 2014, Narendra Modi and Devendra Fadnavis came to power by making false promises to the public, which they have not fulfilled. This has led to widespread anger among the people towards the BJP." He credited this dissatisfaction as the reason for Congress's success in the recent Lok Sabha elections and highlighted Congress as the largest party in Maharashtra. Patole further urged all party members to campaign in every constituency for the upcoming Assembly elections, aiming to bring Congress and its allies to power by removing the corrupt BJP-led government.

All India Congress Committee Secretary Sanjay Dutt praised the leadership of Nana Patole, describing him as a strong leader who has significantly contributed to Congress's success in Maharashtra. He noted that there is a favorable environment for the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the state and expressed confidence that Congress would achieve similar success in the Assembly elections as it did in the Lok Sabha elections. Dutt encouraged party members to work diligently towards this goal.

The event was attended by several prominent Congress leaders, including Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole, All India Congress Committee Secretary Sanjay Dutt, Minority Department President Wajahat Mirza, former MLA Subhash Chavan, General Secretary of Organization and Administration Pramod More, State General Secretaries Rajan Bhosale and Brij Kishore Dutt, Kalyan Dombivli President Sachin Pote, State Secretary Shrikrishna Sangle, and Yashwant Happe.
