Mumbai: The Central Railway, Mumbai Division, has announced a Mega Block on its suburban sections on Sunday, September 1, 2024. The block will be implemented to carry out essential engineering and maintenance work, ensuring the safety and upkeep of the infrastructure.
Details of the Mega Block:
1. UP and DOWN SLOW Lines Between Matunga and Mulund:
Timing: 11:05 am to 3:55 pm
Affected Services:
DOWN SLOW line trains departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai between 10:14 am and 3:18 pm will be diverted to the DOWN FAST line between Matunga and Mulund. These trains will halt at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, and Mulund stations. They will re-divert to the DOWN SLOW line at Mulund and will reach their destinations approximately 15 minutes behind schedule.
UP SLOW line trains departing from Thane between 10:58 am and 3:59 pm will be diverted to the UP FAST line at Mulund. These trains will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla, and Sion stations, re-diverting to the UP SLOW line at Matunga. They will also arrive at their destinations about 15 minutes late.
2. UP and DOWN HARBOUR Lines Between Kurla and Vashi:
Timing: 11:10 am to 4:10 pm
Affected Services:
DOWN HARBOUR line services to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi departing from CSMT Mumbai between 10:34 am and 3:36 pm will be cancelled.
UP HARBOUR line services towards CSMT Mumbai departing from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi between 10:16 am and 3:47 pm will also be cancelled.
Special suburban trains will operate between CSMT Mumbai – Kurla and Panvel – Vashi sections during the block period.
HARBOUR line passengers are permitted to travel between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during the block period.

First train after the block: Asangaon Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 3:32 pm.
UP SLOW Line:
Last train before the block: Asangaon Local departing Thane at 10:27 am.
First train after the block: Kalyan Local departing Thane at 4:03 pm.
DOWN HARBOUR Line:
Last train before the block: Panvel Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 10:18 am.
First train after the block: Panvel Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 3:44 pm.
UP HARBOUR Line:
Last train before the block: Local for CSMT Mumbai departing Panvel at 10:05 am.
First train after the block: Local for CSMT Mumbai departing Panvel at 3:45 pm.
