"Central Railway's Mumbai Division Announces Mega Block for Vital Maintenance on November 5, 2023"


On November 5, 2023, the Central Railway, Mumbai Division, will run Mega Block on its suburban lines to carry out various engineering and maintenance operations. The specifics are as follows:

Up and Dn fast lines between Matunga and Byculla will be closed from 00.35 hrs to 04.35 hrs on Thursday, May 4, 2023 (Saturday/Sunday night time).

UP Mail and Express trains are being diverted.

Trains arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus during the block time would be diverted to the Up slow line between Matunga and Byculla, making a second halt at Dadar on PF No. 3 and arriving 10 to 15 minutes later than scheduled.

During the block period, Down Mail/Express trains will be diverted on the slow line between Matunga and Byculla, with a double halt at Dadar on PF No. 1, and will be handed over 10 to 15 minutes later than scheduled at Igatpuri, Lonaval, and Roha.

From 11.10 a.m. to 4.10 p.m. on the Kurla-Vashi Up and Dn harbour lines.

Dn Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.34 am to 3.36 pm and Up Harbour line services departing from Belapur departing from 10.16 am to 3.47 pm will remain cancelled.

During block time, special suburban trains will run on the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai-Kurla stretch.

During the block, harbour line services between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations will be accessible from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Passengers are asked to be patient with the Railway Administration as a result of the inconvenience created by this maintenance block.
