The Central Railway will carry out a Mega Block on its suburban railway sections on Sunday, October 6, 2024. This block is necessary to complete important engineering and maintenance work. Here's what commuters need to know:
Fast Line Block between Thane and Kalyan (10:40 AM – 3:40 PM)
Down Fast/Semi-Fast trains leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) from 9:34 AM to 3:03 PM will be diverted to the slow line between Thane and Kalyan. These trains will stop at Kalva, Mumbra, and Diva stations and will be delayed by 10 minutes.
Up Fast/Semi-Fast trains leaving Kalyan from 10:28 AM to 3:40 PM will also be diverted to the slow line between Kalyan and Thane. These trains will stop at Diva, Mumbra, and Kalva stations before switching back to the fast line at Mulund. These trains will also run 10 minutes late.
Long-distance Mail/Express trains departing from or arriving at CSMT/Dadar will run on different lines (5th and 6th) between Thane and Kalyan/Vikhroli stations.
Harbour Line Block between Panvel and Vashi (11:05 AM – 4:05 PM)
Harbour line trains from Panvel to CSMT and from CSMT to Panvel/Belapur will be suspended during this time.
Trans-Harbour line services between Panvel and Thane will also be suspended.

Last Harbour line train to Panvel before the block: Leaves CSMT at 9:30 AM.
First Harbour line train to Panvel after the block: Leaves CSMT at 3:16 PM.
Last Harbour line train to CSMT before the block: Leaves Panvel at 10:17 AM.
First Harbour line train to CSMT after the block: Leaves Panvel at 4:10 PM.
Last Trans-Harbour line train to Panvel before the block: Leaves Thane at 9:39 AM.
First Trans-Harbour line train to Panvel after the block: Leaves Thane at 4:00 PM.
Last Trans-Harbour line train to Thane before the block: Leaves Panvel at 10:41 AM.
First Trans-Harbour line train to Thane after the block: Leaves Panvel at 4:26 PM.
Alternative Arrangements
Special local trains will run between CSMT and Vashi during the block period.
Trans-Harbour services will be available between Thane and Vashi/Nerul.
Port line services will be available between Belapur/Nerul and Uran.
Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly.
