"Central Railway Announces Mega Block on November 12, 2023"


From 10.55 a.m. to 3.55 p.m., the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and the Vidyavihar Up & Dn slow lines are open.

Dn slow services departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 10.48 a.m. and 3.49 p.m. would be diverted on the Dn fast line between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vidyavihar stations, halting at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla stations before being rediverted on the Dn slow line.

Up slow services from Ghatkopar between 10.41 a.m. and 3.52 p.m. would be diverted to the Up fast line between Vidyavihar and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, stopping at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel and Byculla stations.


Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn harbour line operates from 11.40 a.m. to 4.40 p.m. & Chunabhatti / Bandra-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Up Harbour line from 11.10 a.m. to 4.10 p.m.

Dn Harbour line services to Vashi/Belapur/Panvel departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus / Vadala Road from 11.16 am to 4.47 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 10.48 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and departing Goregaon/Bandra from 10.45 am to 5.13 pm will remain halted.

During the block time, however, special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8).

During the block time, travellers on the Harbour Line may travel via the Main Line and Western Railway from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


These maintenance megablocks are critical for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are asked to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience.
