On August 27, 2023, Central Railway's Mumbai Division will execute a Mega Block for essential engineering and maintenance tasks. The block will impact various lines and services:
- Thane-Kalyan Up and Down fast lines will be closed from 10:40 am to 3:40 pm.
- DN fast/semi-fast services from CSMT Mumbai will divert to DN slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations, resulting in a 10-minute delay at their destination.
- UP fast/semi-fast services from Kalyan will take a diverted route, causing a 10-minute delay upon arrival.
- DN Mail/Express trains from CSMT/Dadar will be diverted on the 5th line between Thane and Kalyan stations.
- UP Mail/Express trains arriving at CSMT/Dadar will be diverted on the 6th line between Kalyan and Thane/Vikhroli stations.
- Panvel-Vashi UP and DN harbor lines, including the BSU line and Trans-harbour line, will be closed from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm.
- Various Harbour line and Trans Harbour line services will remain suspended during the specified timings.
Local train services between Belapur and Kharkopar will run as usual. Special local trains will operate on the CSMT Mumbai – Vashi route. Trans-harbour line services will be available between Thane-Vashi stations during the block.
These maintenance mega blocks are necessary for ensuring infrastructure integrity and safety. Passengers are requested to understand and accommodate the inconvenience caused by these measures.
