Mumbai, 24th August 2024: Central Railway's Mumbai Division will operate a Mega Block on various suburban sections on Sunday, 25th August 2024. The block is scheduled to facilitate essential engineering and maintenance works. Below are the details of the affected routes and timings:
Matunga-Mulund UP and DOWN Fast Lines
Timing: 11:05 am to 3:05 pm
DOWN Fast Line: Services departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai between 10:25 am and 2:45 pm will be diverted onto the DOWN slow line at Matunga. These trains will halt at their respective scheduled stops between Matunga and Mulund and are expected to reach their destinations approximately 15 minutes behind schedule. Fast trains traveling beyond Thane will be redirected to the DOWN fast line at Mulund.
UP Fast Line: Services departing from Thane between 10:50 am and 3:00 pm will be diverted onto the UP slow line at Mulund, halting at their respective scheduled stops between Mulund and Matunga. These trains will be redirected back to the UP fast line at Matunga and will also arrive at their destinations about 15 minutes late.
The last DOWN fast train before the block will be the Badlapur local departing from CSMT at 10:20 am, and the first train after the block will depart from CSMT at 3:03 pm.
The last UP fast train before the block will be the Ambarnath local arriving at CSMT at 11:10 am, and the first train after the block will be the Kasara local arriving at CSMT at 3:49 pm.
Panvel-Vashi UP and DOWN Harbour Lines
Timing: 11:05 am to 4:05 pm (excluding the Nerul/Belapur-Uran Port line)
UP Harbour Line: Services toward CSMT Mumbai departing from Panvel between 10:33 am and 3:49 pm will be suspended.
DOWN Harbour Line: Services toward Panvel/Belapur departing from CSMT Mumbai between 9:45 am and 3:12 pm will be suspended.
The last DOWN Harbour Line train before the block will leave CSMT at 9:30 am and arrive at Panvel at 10:50 am. The first train after the block will leave CSMT at 3:16 pm, arriving at Panvel at 4:36 pm.
The last UP Harbour Line train before the block will leave Panvel at 10:17 am and arrive at CSMT at 11:36 am. The first train after the block will leave Panvel at 4:10 pm, arriving at CSMT at 5:30 pm.
Panvel-Thane UP and DOWN Trans-Harbour Lines
Timing: 11:05 am to 4:05 pm
UP Trans-Harbour Line: Services toward Thane departing from Panvel between 11:02 am and 3:53 pm will be suspended.
DOWN Trans-Harbour Line: Services toward Panvel departing from Thane between 10:01 am and 3:20 pm will be suspended.
The last DOWN Trans-Harbour Line train before the block will leave Thane at 9:39 am and arrive at Panvel at 10:31 am. The first train after the block will leave Thane at 4:00 pm, arriving at Panvel at 4:52 pm.
The last UP Trans-Harbour Line train before the block will leave Panvel at 10:41 am and arrive at Thane at 11:33 am. The first train after the block will leave Panvel at 4:26 pm, arriving at Thane at 5:20 pm.
Special Arrangements During the Block
Special local trains will operate on the CSMT Mumbai–Vashi route during the block period.
Trans-Harbour line services will be available between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations.
Port line services will continue between Belapur/Nerul and Uran stations.
Passengers are advised to check the schedule and plan their journeys accordingly. Central Railway regrets the inconvenience caused and seeks cooperation from passengers during this period of essential maintenance work.
