Central Railway, Mumbai Division, will conduct a Mega Block on its suburban sections on May 12, 2024, to facilitate essential engineering and maintenance works.
Matunga-Mulund Up and Down Fast Lines: The block will be in effect from 11:10 am to 3:10 pm. During this period, Down fast line services departing CSMT Mumbai between 10:25 am to 2:45 pm will be diverted on Down slow line at Matunga. Similarly, Up fast line services departing Thane between 10:50 am to 3:08 pm will be diverted on Up slow line at Mulund.
Harbour Lines between Kurla and Vashi Stations*: The block will be from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm. Down Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi and Up Harbour line services towards CSMT Mumbai will remain cancelled. Special suburban trains will operate on CSMT Mumbai – Kurla & Panvel – Vashi sections during the block period.
Passenger Arrangements*: Harbour line passengers can travel between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Last and first local train schedules before and after the block have been adjusted accordingly.
These maintenance mega blocks are crucial for ensuring infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are advised to cooperate with the Railway Administration during this period of inconvenience.
