Mumbai: In an effort to accommodate the surge of returning devotees during the Ganpati festival, Central Railway has announced the operation of 14 additional unreserved special train services. These special trains will provide convenient travel options between Mumbai, Panvel, and Khed, catering specifically to the needs of those observing the festival.
The detailed schedule for these special services is as follows:
CSMT-Khed-CSMT Unreserved Special (2 trips):
Train 01069: Departing from CSMT Mumbai at 23:30 hrs on 12th September 2024, arriving in Khed at 05:15 hrs the following day.
Train 01070: Departing from Khed at 06:00 hrs on 16th September 2024, arriving at CSMT Mumbai at 13:30 hrs the same day.
These trains will make stops at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, and various other stations along the route, ensuring easy access for passengers from multiple locations. The train will consist of 4 sleeper class coaches and 16 general second-class coaches, including two guard’s brake vans.
Panvel-Khed-Panvel Unreserved Special (6 trips):
Train 01071/01072:
Departure from Panvel at 11:00 hrs on 13th, 14th, and 15th September 2024, arriving at Khed at 14:45 hrs.
Return journey from Khed at 15:15 hrs on the same dates, reaching Panvel at 20:30 hrs.
Train 01073/01074:
Departure from Panvel at 21:10 hrs on 13th, 14th, and 15th September 2024, arriving at Khed at 01:00 hrs the next day.
Return journey from Khed at 06:00 hrs, reaching Panvel at 10:00 hrs on the same day.
All these trains will make halts at several stations, including Pen, Roha, Mangaon, and Diwankhavati. The composition of the train will remain consistent with 4 sleeper class and 16 general second-class coaches.
These trains will operate as unreserved services, with tickets available through the UTS system at regular superfast mail/express train rates.
