CBI Seizes Rs. 1.42 Crore Cash, Gold in FSSAI Bribery Probe


the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recovered approximately Rs. 1.42 crore in cash, along with two gold biscuits and incriminating documents during a further search operation related to the ongoing FSSAI bribery case. The operation targeted a senior manager of a Thane-based private company, implicating an Assistant Director (AD) of FSSAI, Mumbai, and two private individuals. Earlier arrests were made after the AD was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs. 1,20,000. With total cash recovery now reaching approximately Rs. 1.8 crore, investigations into the corruption allegations continue.
