Mumbai,Nature enthusiasts and butterfly lovers have a reason to rejoice as the city gears up for the much-anticipated "Mumbai Butterfly Meet - Edition 2.0." The two-day event, scheduled for Saturday, January 11, and Sunday, January 12, 2025, is jointly organized by Vivant UntamedEarth Foundation and the M (West) Ward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Focus on Conservation
This year's theme, "Butterfly Conservation and Urban Habitats," highlights the importance of creating and sustaining solutions through the collective efforts of individuals, communities, organizations, and administrations.
Exciting Line-Up of Events
The meet will feature:
• Exhibition of Butterfly Images: A visual treat for visitors showcasing the beauty of butterflies.
• Drawing Competition for School Children: Held on both days from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
• ‘Children for Butterflies’ Rally: Concluding at Diamond Garden, Chembur, around 11:00 AM.
• Children's Activities: Origami demonstrations and a butterfly-themed quiz, conducted from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM by 'Origami Mitra.'
• Lectures & Presentations: Esteemed experts and citizen scientists will discuss butterfly conservation on Sunday, January 12, at Alamu Hall, Chembur, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
