Bandra, Mumbai, A bus operating on Route 303, which runs between Bandra Station (East) and Mulund Station (West), caught fire earlier today while on a short trip to Gandhi Nagar on L.B.S. Road. The incident occurred around 1:30 PM.
After completing the trip, the bus driver noticed black smoke coming from the engine as he made a right U-turn to head back to Bandra Station. He quickly pulled the bus over, but a fire suddenly erupted. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries among the passengers. However, the on-duty conductor suffered minor burn injuries.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire, but unfortunately, the bus was completely destroyed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Authorities are reviewing the incident to determine what led to the fire and ensure the safety of future bus operations.
