Mumbai, The Maharashtra government has extended the deadline for installing High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on vehicles registered before April 1, 2019. The new deadline is now set for June 30, 2025.
In an official notification issued by the Maharashtra Transport Commissioner’s Office, vehicle owners were previously required to install HSRP plates by March 31, 2025. However, due to the high number of pending installations, authorities have granted a three-month extension.
Transport officials have been directed to raise public awareness about the updated deadline through local RTO offices, automobile dealers, and transport associations.
Vehicle owners are urged to comply with the new mandate before June 30, 2025, to avoid penalties.
