All India Sainik Schools National Games 2024 Kick Off in Chandrapur


Chandrapur, September 24, 2024: The prestigious All India Sainik Schools National Games 2024 commenced with grand fanfare at Sainik School Chandrapur, Maharashtra, bringing together 42 Sainik Schools from across the nation. The event was inaugurated by Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command Nagpur, in a vibrant ceremony.

The inauguration featured the lighting of the ceremonial Mashal by Air Marshal Garg, symbolizing the spirit of unity and excellence that defines the games. The event also included the release of balloons, marking the official start of the competition, which will see over 500 cadets vying for top honors in various sports and cultural events over the next ten days.

The National Games aim to foster camaraderie, sportsmanship, and discipline among cadets from Sainik Schools nationwide. "These games are not just about competition but about building lifelong values of teamwork and resilience," said Air Marshal Garg in his opening remarks.

The games include a diverse range of events, designed to challenge the physical and mental skills of the cadets, and promote excellence in both sports and academics.

This year’s edition of the games is expected to be a memorable event, inspiring the cadets to achieve new milestones while enhancing the bond between the participating schools.

The event will continue for 10 days, culminating in a closing ceremony where the winners will be honored for their achievements.
