Pune, August 16, 2024 – Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP President Ajit Pawar's "Jan Sanman Yatra" is drawing large crowds across the state, with recent stops in Maval and Pimpri assembly constituencies of Pune district. During the Yatra, Pawar announced the transfer of Rs. 3000 under the "Majhi Ladki Bahin" scheme to over 90 lakh women beneficiaries, emphasizing the state's capability to extend the scheme to 2 crore women. The pink-themed campaign, aimed at connecting with voters ahead of upcoming assembly polls, has garnered widespread support.
At a gathering in Talegaon, Pawar reaffirmed his commitment to women's empowerment and development, while also directing officials to expedite state projects, including a Rs. 333.56 crore Global Skywalk in Lonavala. His direct engagement with citizens, combined with the allocation of substantial funds for regional development, underscores his focus on both immediate and long-term progress for Maharashtra.
