Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar received a warm welcome during his Jan Sanman Yatra in Karmala, Solapur. The event saw a large turnout, especially women wearing pink turbans, who came to show their support.

Accompanied by key NCP leaders like Sunil Tatkare, Rupali Chakankar, and Suraj Chavan, Mr. Pawar laid the foundation stone for several development projects in the area. He praised Karmala MLA Sanjaymama Shinde for his efforts in securing funds for the constituency. He highlighted the renovation of the Kamlabhavani Mata Mandir as one of Shinde’s achievements.

Mr. Pawar also promised a price increase for sugarcane farmers and announced that local sugar factories would start operating from November 15. He assured that he would revive the Adinath and Makai sugar factories, just like he did with the Someshwar factory in 1992.

He also shared plans for a ₹283 crore Integrated Tourism Development Project, including ₹25 crore for religious tourism, ₹190 crore for water tourism, and ₹19 crore for agricultural tourism. Ajit Pawar discussed the ₹100 crore development plan for Pandharpur, which will include a four-story building and a skywalk.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to working for all communities and making Maharashtra the top state in the country, following the vision of leaders like Shahu, Phule, and Ambedkar. Mr. Pawar also addressed the controversial encounter of Akshay Shinde, stating that while he doesn’t support such actions, criminals like him don’t deserve to live.

Highlighting the government’s Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, he assured that those who haven’t received benefits yet would get ₹4,500 for July, August, and September. He also promised an electricity bill waiver for over 44 lakh farmers, saying that within a month, they wouldn’t need to pay any bills, past or future.
