"Agniveers' Second Batch Attestation Parade in Kamptee, Nagpur"


The 14th of August, 2023 marked a historic moment as the second cohort of Agniveer trainees was attested at the Brigade of the Guards Regimental Centre in Kamptee. During this significant event, the Agniveers solemnly pledged their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the motherland at all costs. Eagerly watched by their loved ones who had traveled from various corners of the nation, the attestation parade symbolized the successful completion of 24 weeks of arduous training. This training encompassed a rigorous curriculum, including physical conditioning, drill exercises, marksmanship, tactical proficiency, and a week-long field exercise. These experiences will serve as the foundation for their promising careers within the Indian Army.

The Commandant of the Brigade of The Guards Regimental Centre in Kamptee presided over the attestation parade. In his address, he emphasized to the Agniveers that donning the uniform is not only a matter of pride but also a solemn responsibility of great magnitude. He urged them to wholeheartedly devote themselves to serving the nation both physically and mentally. Acknowledging exceptional achievements, various categories of outstanding performers within the batch were honored with awards. As a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to nation-building, the proud parents were presented with the "Gaurav Padak" award. Notably, Agniveer Baraiya Mansing Jethurbhai was distinguished as the finest Agniveer of the second batch.
