Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi Assumes Command as 26th Chief of Indian Navy


Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, an accomplished veteran, has taken the helm as the 26th Chief of the Indian Navy today. With a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades, Admiral Tripathi brings a wealth of experience to his new role. A graduate of Sainik School Rewa and the National Defence Academy, he has commanded several frontline warships and held key operational and staff positions throughout his career. His expertise in communication and electronic warfare is expected to steer the Indian Navy towards greater operational prowess and modernization. Adm Tripathi succeeds Admiral R Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, retiring after an illustrious tenure. His assumption of command marks a new chapter in the Indian Navy's journey towards safeguarding the nation's maritime interests.
