In a tragic incident in North Mumbai's Malad area, a speeding SUV struck a 27-year-old woman, Shahana Kazi, leading to her death. The incident occurred last night when Kazi was returning home from her Mehndi class. She was hit from behind by the SUV, identified as a Ford, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. However, despite efforts, doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The SUV's driver, identified as Anuj Sinha, is reported to be an officer in the Merchant Navy. Following the accident, enraged locals allegedly assaulted Sinha before he was taken into police custody. The police are currently investigating the case.
